Ange, I, and the puppies, seldom walk out to the rock as we call - TopicsExpress

Ange, I, and the puppies, seldom walk out to the rock as we call it, out near the observatory, in many ways its a huge trip down memory lane, particularly our early days up here, our early days together, the stage both the kids were at, that sort of thing. Ive lived in the mountains twenty five years and have had two, what I would call real bushfire threats, one at Katoomba, and another at Winmalee. For all of that, Ive never had such a horrible sense of imminence /impending doom, I think this is the big one, the one us mountain folk have been talking about and fearing for longer then I care to think about. The geography, forecasted weather patterns, and dryness spell potential disaster in the next few days, golly I hope I am wrong. I love it here, and would be sad to lose this place, it is so much a huge part of my history, our history, but what will be will be. My thoughts are with our neighbours across the Grose Valley at Winmalee, God bless you all.
