Angel wants you to know that at Pathway, every animal deserves a chance... We got a call this afternoon about injured kittens and immediately we went over to try to help. The kittens were newborn, and mama was a neighborhood stray. A family had taken her in, and she gave birth to gorgeous babies. Somehow, Angel, a sweet, tiny one day old little orange kitten was suffering from severe head trauma and bleeding from his mouth. After 5 different stories, we finally got the truth that a child in the home had injured him. Angel was separated and being allowed to die. After convincing, the family gave up all the cats, and we immediately put Angel back with mama who wrapped her arms around him. Its amazing that such beautiful, amazing and innocent lives can be given to those so unbelievably undeserving. Dr. Sharon Greenhut at Franklin Lakes Animal Hospital immediately took in this family and fought so hard all day and night to give Angel a chance. We decided tonight not to let him suffer or fight any more, and we let him go peacefully. The rest of the family is happy and healthy with our foster family. Angel deserved a chance to survive, and he also deserved kindness when it became clear he couldnt fight what had been done to him. Run free in the clouds beautiful baby boy...
