Angered and disgusted at the Old Apartheid Policing of student leaders at UWC today. Firstly, they stormed a live interview with SABC News on campus, forced the SABC crew to pack up and escorted them out of the premises. Apparently, they are not allowed to interview SASCO and students affected by the nsfas crisis on campus. After that, we were followed by security officers all over campus and being interrogated about a possible strike which we are supposedly plaaning. This further resulted in the whole Campus Protection Services to follow us everywhere on campus, close every building we walked past to such an extent they even closed the Admin Block and closed Registration just because we (only 6 comrades) were peceived as dangerous. More than 250 students were unable to register because of this paranoid university security system yet there are still more than 7000 students at UWC who are still not registered due to the crisis of financial aid. When we strike again, we will not ask permission from anyone and we will surely start to deal with those securities who disadvantaged more than 250 students from registering after being queues since 8am this morning.
