Anikas story.... Anika was rescued in Dec 2012 from Blacktown pound. After we got her out of the pound, she went straight to the boarding kennels we used, someone offered to take her to their vet to be checked out... the recommendation was to put her to sleep :0 I would not have done that and took her to out vet ASAP She had very unstable back legs and with X-rays she was diagnosed as having had trauma to her spine resulting in a broken rib. We found the rib practically coming out of her body (photo) Anika could walk but her back legs are weak and she is wobbly on her feet. We would have kept her if not adopted but thanks to Lorraine, she has a home to call her own
