Anil Kumar 19 minutes ago near Bangalore, Karnataka · Edited How to Celebrate International Mens Day on 19th November? 1) In your company, cut a cake with your team. It takes just 30 minutes. 2) Offer evening movie tickets to your team members (In 2007, I sponsored 15 movie tickets to my team members-both male and female) 3) Most importantly, allow the men in your team to speak up about their vulnerabilities and weaknesses instead of ridiculing them or telling him to man up, telling them to be a man or take it like a man. These men need a listening space, not just quick fix solutions. 4) If you are a woman, be grateful to men in your life and your male friends around you. Its easy for you to expect them to be your protectors or at least caring towards you, but on this day, just be grateful to them for being wonderful and for playing these roles. 5) If you are a woman, just take time to realize that as a woman, you will never really understand and feel emotions of your male kids and the pressure they go through, when they are emotionally suppressed and are told, do not cry like a girl. Men and Boys have much deeper emotional lives than previously thought. 6) Be grateful to all the men who do risky and hazardous work in public places, including the garbage collectors, the traffic policemen, the vehicle mechanics, the construction workers and the soldiers. Without their hard work, all the growth and prosperity is not sustainable. 7) The maximum number of suicides of men in India (25%) are due to family reasons, while only 1.7% are due to poverty reasons. The suicides due to family reasons are avoidable. Be sensitive to men in your family. 8. Finally, Respect Men. It is very easy to say, respect women, but realize that the male world runs on disrespect (to men). If men really start respecting fellow men in this world today, a lot of riots, wars, hate crimes will cease to happen.
