Animal Volunteers are not paid with money. Theyre paid with crooked smiles, wet kisses, furr covered clothes and globs of slobber. Theyre paid with blisters on their hands, sweat, blood and tears. Theyre paid by being granted the opportunity to see the happiness on an animals face when they get out of their kennel and get to run freely in the fresh air. Theyre paid with stains on their jeans while they sit in the grass, dirt, mud or concrete so the animal can cuddle in their lap for just a few minutes to get human contact and love. Theyre paid when they get to watch the animal theyve become so attached to finally walk away with its forever family. Volunteers are not paid with money, they are paid with love.
