Animal activists are a special kind of crazy. And they will not hesitate to use it against you. Their crazy comes from having to witness the cruelty that their own species is capable of inflicting on a voiceless animal. It comes from having to hold a dying dog who was beaten and left for dead while asking for its forgiveness for her own kind. It comes from saving a cat involved in a hit and run and crying because its legs are broken. It comes from witnessing death, abuse, cruelty and sometimes unforgivable torture. Their days arent always spent with friends and family over dinners and drinks and movies and good times. They spend their days around suffering and despair. They try to understand why humans do what they do. And why they dont do what they should do. And at the end of the day when they can finally find some reprieve to shut their eyes and their memories they still have to summon what little of their strength they have left to keep from breaking down. So yes, they are a special kind of crazy. One that has no respect for their kind. This special kind of crazy is the kind you really dont want to mess with.
