Animal rescue today - I ended up falling into a storm water drain with slimy water running in it, while catching an injured Ibis bird with a broken leg, which had been there for 2 days. I got the bird and was I was covered in green slime and stinking water from the waist down. Great. Id just come from the hairdressers one hour earlier. As I was climbing up the very steep 20 bank of the drain, dripping with stinking water and the bird in my arms, I remembered the video (last post on my page) and the words I am an animal rescuer. Yep - I am. As I sat in the car,on a bunch of clean towels , I drove the bird to the animal hospital. I have photos - which Ill post tomorrow.
