Animals mirror their owners energy. Often if an owner is stressed, anxious, fearful, the animal reflects that. One way you can read an animal is by picking up on their feelings. Our elephants here in the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle, have been kept in unsuitable conditions for years (though it was considered state of the art at the time it was created). Many supporters of the elephants have petitioned to get them sent to a sanctuary where they can be free to live their final years with space and more freedom of movement. The city council voted to close the elephant exhibit and send them to another zoo. Here is Danielle MacKinnon connecting with the elephants in our zoo.
