Annapurna -Poonhill and Ghorepani Trekking Route This area lies to the north of Pokhara - a very popular tourist hub. Ghandruk-Ghorepani trip takes you to have a closer look at some of the highest and gorgeous mountains along the trail. The trek passes thru many ups and downs at different altitudes. This program will take you to experience the exquisiteness of the prominent peaks like Dhaulagiri, Tukuche, Nilgiri, Annapurna Front, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Annapurna II, Hiunchuli and Machhapuchhre (6,993m). You will also be able to have a 360-degree panoramic view including North Face. While enjoying the panoramic view of Poonhill (3,195m) you will see the villages where various tribal groups such as the Brahmin, Chhetri, Magar, Gurung, Thakuri etc inhabit. Since there are lodge and teahouses in these villages, you will be able to interact with them in a friendly way. Ghorepani Poonhill trek allows us to link the less exercised route amongst the villages of Annapurna foothills. That is why it’s been so special and called the best trekking in Nepal. The latter provides an excellent panorama of the entire famous massif in this region. Wonderful mountain views, beautiful rhododendron forests and warm hospitality of the village people are the main features of this trekking. An observation of unspoiled traditional culture of the ethnic Gurung and Magars is quite interesting. Natural flora and fauna at different destinations, sub-tropical valleys, all are at the foothills of Annapurna where the picturesque peak of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail Peak) dominates the skyline. You will encounter a pleasant feeling of being quite in close proximity to nature. The day you get to Poon Hill (3210m) after walking up a distance of about an hour, you will not only enjoy a superb panorama of both Annapurna and Dhaulagiri region but also love the beauty of sun rise when it touches the snow-capped gigantic summits like Dhaulagiri (8,167m) and Annapurna (8,091m) along with the maze of other peaks, just like an incredible magic. Ghorepani Poonhill trekking trails have plenty of teahouse / lodging facilities run by local village people. They provide you typical Nepali food Daal-bhat (plain rice with lentil soup and additional boiled vegetable). Our company offers two types of trekking camps such as Lodge Camp and Tent Camp. However lodge camping is widely popular as this is more cheaper compared to the Tent Camp.
