Anne Marie Earsley asked· A question regarding kennel cough: I have a rescue female Great Dane - today is her third birthday. She awoke with a dry deep non productive cough that immediately made me think kennel cough. She has been immunized, but goes to doggy day care, off leash dog parks, farmers markets, garden nursery, pet store, etc all within the last 4 days. She is resting at home today while Im at work so I will have to wait until this evening to see if Im wrong about this. Anyway, my question is there anything in particular I need to be aware of or alert my vet to that may be a unique risk factor or secondary risk infection with Great Danes and kennel cough?
