Annika, Occupational Therapist, since two weeks back in Germany: "I would definitely do this experience again and recommend becoming a ProAuPair because it’s just perfect to combine living in a foreign country with your profession. The United States are also known for their progress in the area of Occupational Therapy, so it was very neat to experience it on top of the culture and the beautiful country. Furthermore it’s a great opportunity to see the world and become more independent before I get settled and start working in my home country. It’s hard to say what I liked best. It felt great being part of a wonderful family. I also loved traveling in the U.S. with the family and on my own. Over all getting to know Americans and their culture was a great experience. My personal goal from the beginning was to gain experience in my profession as an Occupational Therapist and I had the opportunity to volunteer in a clinic and participate at a workshop, that gave me a lot of ideas for my work in Germany."
