Announcement Upcoming Parking Lot Closures Parking will be impacted in parking lot 2 (bordering Kjeldsen Pool and Knoles Field) Friday and Saturday, September 6-7, due to the American Heart Association Annual Heartwalk. Related activities will also impact traffic flow throughout various parts of the campus. Parking lot 2 will be closed to all parking and traffic from 8 a.m. on Friday, September 6, to noon on Saturday, September 7. Traffic may also be impacted due to related activities: Set-up begins at 8 a.m. on Friday, September 6. Saturday, September 7, from 9 to 11 a.m. The Heartwalk will start and finish in parking lot 2 by the Kjeldsen Pool. Walkers will leave the east entrance to parking lot 2, walk north on Rudkin Way, turn right at the levy moving east to the Don and Karen DeRosa University Center. From there they will turn south, walk along the walkway to the McCaffrey Center where they will turn east and head to Chapel Lane, past Burns Tower and then south on Pacific Avenue toward the University Miracle Mile. Walkers will return to campus heading north on Kensington Ave., then west on Dave Brubeck Way, across parking lot 4 and back into parking lot 2 for the finish. All activities are expected to be over by noon on Saturday. Please note that Atchley Way at Chapel Lane and Pacific Circle at Burns Tower will be closed to through traffic between 9 and 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 7.
