Announcement from Oregon Poetry Association: Seeking volunteer treasurer We are in urgent need of someone to join the Board in the position of Treasurer. Without a treasurer, OPA cannot continue to process memberships, pay its costs, and provide services to its members. As you probably know, we rely on volunteers for all functions, but some are more critical than others. The post of treasurer is one of the most critical. The treasurer needs to: --be familiar with Quicken, or able to convert Quicken files to other accounting software --have access to a Bank of America branch --be familiar with small business procedures, especially as applies to non-profit organizations --be available for monthly conference calls with the rest of the Board, and face-to-face meetings a few times per year --be able to commit to about a day of OPA work per month, stably over the long term If you feel able to take on this position, please email Tiel Ansari at tielansari@gmail, or via the President contact form on the OPA website, oregonpoets.org/contacts/opa-president/ Thank you, on behalf of OPA and Oregons poets.
