Announcements/Notices Updated for Lord’s Day Sabbath 1st September, 2013 Sincere intercession is the key to God’s intervention. The Intercessors Ministry Team encourages all prayer warriors to uphold in prayer, Our Bishop and his family. Also continue in prayer for: Sisters Thelma Griffin, Neita James, Janet Martin, Marienella Williams , Ernestine, Jeanette, Margaret-Rose, Ivy, Brenda Colebourne, Yvette Moore, Mavis Henry, Tarrissa Christian, Yvette Brown, and Muriel Williams; Evangelist EDITH, Simone and Sean Smith; also Brothers Wilben, Whenford, Oriel Destin, Rolston, Fitzroy, Anthony, Uriah Caleb, Gary Myers, Deacon Stachel Joseph, and Evangelist LONGFORD. We must continue to commend and encourage those who offer service to the church without counting the cost and without heeding the wounds, especially as they serve through our fundraising ventures and as they participate willingly in the various vital ministries in the life and witness of our church. Remember them and their families in prayer on a daily basis. A VERY SPECIAL WORD OF THANKS TO THE FOOD VENDING FUNDRAISING TEAM FOR THEIR COMMITMENT TO THIS VITAL VENTURE. WE ENCOURAGE THE FULL SUPPORT OF THE CHURCH ON A WEEKLY BASIS. ADDITIONALLY, THOSE WHO SPEAK WELL OF THE WORKS OF OUR CHURCH MUST BE ENCOURAGED! Also, heartfelt appreciation is accorded to Sis. Jeanette Kingston for her unequalled and passionate commitment to the weekly cleaning of the entire Ministries Center. Let us continue to show each one our appreciation. Everyone’s effort here at the Christian Ministries Center is appreciated beyond the power of mere words. THE CHRISTIAN MINISTRIES CENTER “STOP CRIME” INITIATIVES Members and affiliates of our church are continually encouraged to give full support to all crime-fighting initiatives. The “City of God” Summits Against Crime and Violence held in April and July were most impacting. The focus in July was on our part as a church relative to the Prevention of Human Trafficking, Youth Gang Violence and Substance Abuse. Please take note that a deliberate call has been already made for a content repeat. Listen for a date! THIS AFFECTS US ALL! The Ministries Team of our church will now be meeting Quarterly and the first of the Quarterly Meetings is set for tomorrow – 2nd September at 6:30pm. Preachers and Ministry Workers Diploma Class resumes on September 9, at 6:30pm. … EIGHTH ANNIVERSARY PERFECTING THE HOUSE CHURCH CALENDER Please be reminded that our church, the Christian Ministries Center, has been known over the years for her benevolence. By the grace of God, we only did then what was our duty – today, despite winds of financial adversity we must continue the work God has called us to do. As part of our 8th anniversary celebrations we will continue to heighten our family basket endeavors - now to include financial aid in an effort to bring compassionate relief to the struggling families of our communities. We will seek also, in this church year to complete payments on our church bus clearing the way to concentrate efforts on the established physical location of The Christian Ministries Center in the totality of its vision. The Ministries Team of our church will take the responsibility for our calendar of events including Conference 2014 (February 10 -18). ALL parents, children and young people are asked to take note that the CHILDREN & YOUNG PEOPLE’S FELLOWSHIP resumes on Friday, September 13, at 6pm. Sis. Jeanette Kingston will be fully responsible for the reading of the Scriptures next Lord’s Day. The notices will be read by Sis. Erdine Joseph Ushers: Sis. Andrea Christian and Bro. Fitzroy Samuel. THE PASTOR’S DAY FOR RENEWING REST, REFLECTION, AND SPIRITUAL RECOUPERATION IS FIRMLY SET FOR WEDNESDAYS!
