Announcements Week of August 3, 2014 Council Meeting: There will be a Church Council meeting this Sunday after the service. Pizza will be provided for lunch. Newcomer’s Class: this Sunday Pastor Sam will hold a Newcomer’s Class at 10:00 in the Fellowship Hall. During this class Pastor Sam will cover church ministries, doctrinal issues, opportunities to get involved, and answer any questions. VBS 2014 Agency 3D: Our VBS is about one month away! (August 17th-Aug.22nd) Volunteers are still needed. We have the main teachers but there is a need for 2 assistant teachers. Please consider filling one of these spots. This is an exciting spy themed week that will teach children to investigate who Jesus is based on historical and biblical evidence. Please tell your friends with children about our VBS! Faith Bible Institute: Fall 2014 Semester will begin on Monday August 25th at 5:30.This is a through the Bible course for every Christian. Students study chronologically through every Bible book and doctrine in classes that meet every Monday evening. Ladies Day Bible study: There is a summer Bible study and prayer fellowship at Ms. Adele’s home every Thursday at 10:00. Children are welcome. The ladies just started a book called Managers of Their Home by Steven and Teri Maxwell. You do not have to have the book however to participate. If you would like to be added to it, there will be address update sheets available in the welcome center. Because we currently have only one teacher for this age group, it will be held once a month on the first Sunday of the month. We need 3 more teachers for this age group so that we can have the class every Sunday. Please consider being part of this ministry that will be teaching our children Bible history and how to confidently defend the Christian faith.
