Announcements for Tuesday 11-12-13: - If you like learning about different cultures, come to Foreign Exchange! We meet every Wednesday from 3:30-4:30 in room 289. Join us as we participate in team building activities and discuss upcoming plans and trips. All are welcome! Upcoming events: Saturday, November 16th: Zumba party 12pm-2 pm in the East Gym - Hey all of you PIPs, to prepare for our upcoming improv show on Nov. 14th, we are adding additional practices. All members of the Palatine Improv Players who are planning on participating in the show should report to practice in room 216 on Thurs, Nov. 7th; Tues, Nov. 12th; & Weds, Nov. 13th from 3:45-5:30pm. - SHOWTIME: The very first improv performance of the year is this week! Come out to share some laughs and join in on the fun at A Night at the Altergott, presented by the Palatine Improv Players. Thursday, Nov. 14th from 7-8:30pm. Tickets are $2 at the door. - Have a heart and do your part this winter season. Students Against Destructive Decisions is collecting gently worn clothing of all types and sizes. All clothing donated will be given back to the Palatine community the weekend after Thanksgiving at PATHs 8th annual Day of Giving event. Collection boxes can be found at all main entrances. Cant find a box? See Ms. Ventura in Family and Consumer Sciences. Let’s fill those boxes! - The Lunchapalooza charity this year is crayons for Lurie Children’s Hospital. $1,500 can provide a one-month supply of crayons for the entire hospital. We’re going to have a homeroom competition Wednesday, November 13th – Friday, November 15th to collect change for crayons. The homeroom that collects the most change from each class will win donuts. If you would also like to donate a NEW box of crayons, we will be collecting them in the cafeteria during Lunchapalooza. Make change in a child’s life by donating money for crayons and win donuts for your homeroom! Since Mrs. LeBow is on the go, Come to Fashion Club and make a bow, Wednesday in room 158. Fashionista spirit wear orders are also due! - If you and/or your parents speak Spanish, please come to the Spanish Speaking College Fair on November 13, 2013 at PHS. The fair begins at 6:30 PM and will go until 8:30 PM. About 60 colleges and universities from Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Iowa, and Wisconsin will be in attendance to talk to students and/or parents in Spanish. All grades welcome and bring friends and family!
