Announcements for the week of 11/24/14 Visit the band website at powerhouseoftheplains December 2nd band Christmas concert at Wayland It begins at 7pm Director will tell each band what to wear Percussion must load before the concert and unload after the concert Required for a performance grade December 4th Christmas parade down Broadway Down Broadway Feel free to decorate yourself and your instrument as long as you can march and play NO UNIFORMS Time TBA Required Students are required to practice at home 1 hour per night Students will receive practice cards when we come back from Thanksgiving break Practice cards are for a grade in the grade book Practice cards are due on Tuesdays of the week California Trip THERE ARE NO REFUNDS FOR ANY REASON First payment is due January 15th Band boosters are the only ones who can collect money BAND DIRECTORS AND THE BAND SECRETARY ARE NOT ALLOWED TO COLLECT TRIP MONEY Band Hats We will continue collecting band hats People who have not turned in their band hat by December 5th will receive d-hall for every day the hat is not turned in Miscellaneous No food or drink except bottled water allowed in band hall Please be sure your instruments are put away properly, some students are on the verge of losing the privilege of using school instruments because they are not taking care of them The band must get better faster, please practice at home Upcoming events: December 2nd, Christmas concert December 4th, Christmas parade December 12th-13th, All-region band clinic and concert (for those students who made it) December 16th-18th Finals December 19th Christmas break
