Annoyed with the audio gap when switching presets if youre using - TopicsExpress

Annoyed with the audio gap when switching presets if youre using GR5 live? Heres a little tip which has helped me a lot: Build your presets using the same components in the same order. It doesnt matter if theyre on or off and how you twist the knobs and buttons inside components. And you can put a lot of them in a preset. For example, use the same amplifiers channels to switch between clean and crunch. This way there will be no gap or delay when you switch from one preset to another. I realized this when I needed lightning fast changes between comp/chorus/reverb/delay-clean and dry crunch inside a song. I just loaded same components in the two presets and created the sounds with them. Van51 has a very nice clean channel btw. :) (which usually gets no playtime from me cos of the crunch channel.) If you use random stuff (actually, you need only one different component) in presets, there will always be a gap, but of course that doesnt matter when changing a song or when you dont play at the moment etc. Mac users could of course use Mainstage for gapless operation too. Bonus is that you can have a spillover with delay and reverb stuff.
