Anon asks Hi, I have a question.. Am I the only one with growing concerns over the amount of technology in schools these days? I know I am saying this via Facebook (aka computer/internet...) BUT primary school students needing Andriod tablets/similar? Intermediate needing Ipads? and them being made compulsory in parts of Australia and New Zealand!?! This seems stupid because not only are children resorting to google more and doing typing etc on these things, they arent doing as much writing, One school in particular is e-mailing the 12 year old students their homework.. One week she screwed up, Didnt email it on monday like she was meant to, but Wednesday instead and still insisted it be due Friday! What are these teachers being paid to do? What if some children dont have internet at home? Cant afford Tablets, Ipads? What if the device gets damaged/ stolen? Shouldnt our children instead be writing, drawing and being exposed to these digital devices when WE chose? I am really unsure about how this world is turning, I wish home schooling was an option.. Id like to see what others think on this topic as my partner is into computers.. he thinks its the way the worlds going,
