Anon asks I need advice please! DS 18mo has always been an extremely fussy eater and terrible sleeper. We bed share and he is breastfed. On a good night he will wake 3-4 times to be nursed. However these past 3 nights he has been waking every 20-40 minutes. All night long. Wanted to be nursed back to sleep. Sometimes waking extremely upset. Needless to say I am beyond exhausted. I am a single mum so no other opportunity to rest. When he naps it will be 1x 40-1.5hr. I try and nap these times. I have recently started the gentle transition of stopping being fed to sleep and will nurse him and then sing, pat him etc. He has been generally ok with this apart from a few times he has gotten extremely upset. I am always here with him and never let him CIO. These bad nights have co incided with him not eating a heck of a lot either. Maybe 1/2yoghurt a day. Although he is fussy This is not a lot for him. However everything I offer him he says no and refuses to try it. Even his favourite foods... He already has his first molars and I cant feel lumps or any other signs of teeth under him gums anywhere. However am using A gel an spray for pain relief if thats the case. He has been to the doc and all ok. Please help. And advice, experience I would love to hear. Have just given him nurofen before nap hoping it will make a difference!
