Anon asks I need some encouragement and support. Our 17 month old - TopicsExpress

Anon asks I need some encouragement and support. Our 17 month old daughter likes to breastfeed to sleep, which we have always been fine with and generally works well for our family. We dont cosleep. She generally falls asleep easily and within 15 minutes while nursing at bedtime. However, she continues to nurse (active not for comfort as I can feel multiple let downs) for at least an hour and sometimes 2 hours or more. On nights that its just an hour, its normally not a big deal. And then there are nights where she wants to nurse what feels like forever! I try really hard to be patient and not rush her, But sometimes I just feel so impatient with it all and crave a few minutes alone without being touched. She has always been a slow nurser. I know this is temporary but I wonder how much longer I can keep up?! I dont want to wean and she doesnt want to either - so how can I cope better? And is this just a phase? Thanks for listening!
