Anon please Hi all, needing help with ideas and solutions on getting my 9 month old to sleep for more than 20 mins during the day!! its getting really hard. he goes down fine, i give him a bottle (Formula fed) and rock him to sleep. he ALWAYS wakes up after 20 - 30 minutes. hes still tired when i pick him up though! i try rock him back to sleep but he just moans (thats his thing he does when hes falling asleep) and sort of half closes his eyes.... so i initially thought i just need to keep rocking him till he goes to sleep again but he just WONT. but hes also not properly rested. i cant get anything done during the day - he is a very active boy and moves/crawls alot. but i cant barely get anything done while he sleeps for half an hour. anyways. more importantly he is not getting the rest he needs and just winds up more and more grump as the day goes on. my mother suggest going to plunket family centre but i know they will just suggest i leave him to cry. which is not an option. HELP please!!!! any advice would be really appreciated ! X
