Anon please Ok thanks....basically i was on esa for a yr and scored 0 on the assessment so went onto jsa....i was on there for about 6months and then 4 weeks ago got offered a job, which i took. My problem is that my employers never asked me for an NI number, didnt give me pay slips (i got paid weekly) and i never recieved a copy of a contract/ conformation of employment. I was also told i would be working 16hrs a week (they didnt give me more than 14). I have bought this up on numerous occasions 2 which i was told they would sort this all out for me. When i quesioned them about all this 2day due 2 HB chasing me up for relelvent paperwork, they left me in the office for a few minutes, came back and then sacked me for messing them about Im a single mum and notified DWP, HB and tax credits when i first got the job. My anxiety is at an all time high....ive had 3 panic attacks already 2day as im now liable for 4weeks full rent and council tax, plus i now owe working tax credits 4 weeks money and ive had 2 do a rapid reclaim for JSA... The jobcentre dont even know if this will be successful or not. Do i have any rights? Can anyone do anything about this? I took the job in good faith and i want 2 work legally. Im not prepared 2 do it any other way and have been honest. No one has said that im in trouble but i now owe nearly £1000.....any advice would be much appreciated....thank u Oh, and they r now.sayibg i was self employed.....ive never veen self emploeyed and even if i was, wpuldnt they still need my NI number and give me pay slips? Ive had 2 wage packets both cash in a brown envelope.... After the first one i questioned it ( i had already left a list with all details with them) and asked them 2 sort out payslips etc and the second wage packet was 2day
