Anonymous: Is an emotional affair considered cheating? A couple of days ago while my husband was taking a shower I took his phone and found over 600 texts between him and his ex. Here is the thing weve been together for 3 years and married for 1 before we met he was with this girl for 4 years and 1 day out of the blue she told him that she didnt love him anymore and then met someone else, got engaged and their wedding is scheduled for next summer. But in some of those texts she tells him that she is not sure about her feelings for her fiancée, that she made a mistake when she left him, that she wishes she could go back in time, she also says that she never really forgot him and she still thinks about him. My husband also told her that he thinks about her sometimes. I confronted him and he said that he loves me and he wants nothing with her but then why was he talking to her behind my back? He claims that he just feels bad because she is not happy and he was only giving her emotional support. Now I also learnt that they met at least once for lunch. Im so very angry but he says that he wont see her nor talk to her anymore it that bothers me. But that doesnt do it for me since I know that they met and were talking for weeks and I had no idea. I feel betrayed and all he says is that Im being too dramatic and over-reacting. In my opinion I consider what he did as emotional cheating. Am I wrong here?
