Anonymous MOM Could use the toughts and prayer of the community. This has been the most stressful week for me and my daughter. Last Friday allie had a gj tube placed for the 19th time this year. Fri evening she was vomiting and in the er, the tube was moving. Sat morning she was admitted. On Monday we sit in IR for 4 hours waiting on a replacement gj only to be told anesthesia left and hour ago and wed have to wait till Tue. On Tue we get the tube. Tue afternoon she is in so much pain she starts screaming and I kid you not I watched her c tube spin out of her body. Not knowing if its ok to spin it back in and the docs not knowing either we are forced to sit and wait 45 mins for surgery to get to us. Everytime she crys it moves. Surgery comes ans screws it back in but says they feel it moving and we need to secure it somehow to prevent it coming out because if she screams itll come out again. Wed we are susposed to hav an upper gi but the is to much barrium in her system from gj placement the day before. Thur I get the call at 6am that the rapid response team was working on Allie and a code had been called because she was struggling to breath and the j of her gj was coming out of her mouth about 8 inches. Plan for today is to rest. Enjoy some TPN and just be still. Ugh. Thank the Lord all this happened while in the hospital.
