Anonymous MOM messaged us: Fellow super moms: my husband is looking at a possible overseas assignment for 1-2 years coming soon. Were looking at assignments in either Shanghai, Luxembourg, wuppertal germany, Paris or London. Im a stay at home mom so wont have to worry about employment while overseas. Our son is 20 months and diagnosed with CP. Also has mild SPD. He had seizures at birth but since weve had 2 normal EEGs and assuming all continues to go well he should be weaned from seizure meds at age 2. Has a g tube and although weve been in OT since birth he still receives 100 percent of his nutrition via tube. Hes expected to be walking very soon (fingers crossed). Are there any moms out there who have taken overseas assignments in the previously mentioned areas. How are the hospitals. What was your experience with doctors and therapy options. How are the ex pat communities? Im mostly concerned with continuing his feeding therapy and unsure where or how to research options for these areas. Since we do have some say so as to which assignment location well accept Im hoping other moms can provide insight that would be helpful in our decision making. Thanks in advance
