Please dont discourage him or cut him down he hasnt been this excited about something in a long time. Its pretty sad I had to send this text to my sons dad. When our son said he wanted to play football this yr the first thing his dad said was youre to big of a pussy and youll never make the team well he is wrong! He made the team and Im very proud of him for even trying out for the team hes very shy and has anxiety, but hes breaking out of his shell and trying new things! From the minute he said he wanted to play Ive been encouraging him to follow through he had anxiety about it, but brushed it off and pushed threw! He said I cant wait to tell my dad I made the team and he was wrong! Hes not a small child hes 13 y/o 140lbs and 5ft 8in. He said getting tackled sucks but because hes so big the other kids on his team dont want to tackle him because it hurts them more.
