Anonymous asks Has there been any talks of physical causes of autism? Like brain bleeds or some kind of brain, head, mind traumas, or damage? During the early 80s, my brother was being dragged around from specialist to specialist looking for answers to what was wrong with him. One Dr. diagnosed him with Autism. My Mom didnt Like that diagnoses, among many; so she went elsewhere. She eventually got the diagnoses that she could live with: Multiple Learning Disabilities, Behavioral Disabilities, Social Disabilities, something Repetitiveness. This was all caused from a bleeding disorder from when he was a kid and he banged his forehead on the table and got a giant swollen head. I know that in the early 80s there was very very little known about autism. I know that in the early 80s, the diagnoses of Autism sounded right to me. From what little I know about it. I guess though that I knew, and still know more than she does. I Know, in the early 80s the Stigma against Autism was so much more Harsh than it is today. My theory is that she was wrong and my brother does have Autism. But, never got any funding or subsidy, or knowledge of what he has, Or acceptance. Dont get me wrong. He did get help. He did get Treatment. He is now living on his own, working a full time job that keeps him living at a modest, but, not lacking anything, lifestyle. I think I just want to know peoples point of view and if anyone knows of something like that happening and causing Autism symptoms, or Autism. Thanks
