Anonymous question reposted by Baxter. :-) - My Aspie son is in the 4th grade. I just got a note from his teacher that she would like him tested for the gifted program. In her words, "He is brilliant". My question for any older Aspies or parents with one in school. Do you think that it would be too much pressure to have him tested and too much for him to have such high standards placed on him daily? He is brilliant and very far above his peers intellectually, but not sure if he will tend to have more meltdowns if he feels the additional pressure daily? What do you think?
