Another Allium salvaged from my old weed-overrun Allium garden, is the hybrid Allium Green Eyes (cernuum x senescens). Both Allium cernuum and stellatum will cross with each other, and with other unrelated species like senescens, nutans, rubens. The result is unique, robust growing plants, nodding heads just like cernuum, but with densely-flowered heads, the florets so numerous and packed in, that with some of these hybrids the florets can barely open. The plants have broad twisting foliage, showing the senescens/nutans influence. Allium Green Eyes (cernuum x senescens) flowering now in my garden.
