Another Epic FMS weekend in the books! This workshop changed my life in 2012. I was at a point in my life where the non-stop, intense and overly-aggressive training that had helped me to win the NY Golden Gloves in 2010 could not be sustained anymore. I was battered, injured and in pain. I went to King of Prussia to learn how to fix myself but instead, learned my true role as a strength coach, how to stay in my lane and that health precedes fitness. Since then, Ive had the honor of going back to assist Jedi Master Brett Jones these past two years, each time driving a bus full of eager CRUNCH Personal Trainers down from NYC to Philly to learn from the best. Knowing that this years workshop was the last FMS Combo course that Phil will host in King of Prussia, it was particularly special. Some Thank Yous are in order... First, thank you Brett for your infinite wisdom and your most excellent sense of humor. I have essentially witnessed the same presentation for 3 consecutive years and I still learn new things each time that I watch you present this material. Even though your jokes have not changed since at least 2012 (and likely MUCH longer than that), I still get a kick out of your shtick every time (and we all know that Diego certainly likes it!). My suggestion - I think you should kick off every preso with the Brett Jones Strongman Reel, so that the audience realizes the badassery that lies before them! Thank you to all of the assistants from this year and years past. Matthew Flaherty, Noah Maxwell, Jason Pak, Diego Flores, Dennis Gibson, Donald Blake Berry and Ed McKay - you guys have helped me progress as a coach and athlete in countless ways. I appreciate you all and it has been an honor to assist beside you. MOST OF ALL, I would like to thank Phil Scarito and Pamela Maliniak for hosting the best workshops on the planet. From day 1, it felt like you both were family. You could not provide a more welcoming environment for students and the content, whether it be FMS, Indian Clubs, Foundational Strength, or anything else that you host, is always unparalleled in quality. Even though the world will miss these annual FMS combo courses, there are many amazing workshops to come, including those taught by you, Phil, a Jedi Master in your own right.
