Another Mercer University Football win on Saturday was great. Tailgating and spending time with friends is always fun. The thing that always strikes me is the class which our kids at Mercer display. To watch the cheerleaders make sure that every little girls in the clinic Saturday got to be held up in air in a stunt or to see how our young men take time for all the young ones who live and die with every play. I think Porter Osborne said it best when he described folks who were raised right. Mercer is filled with young men and women who were certainly raised right. They play pretty good football. Chandler Curtis is leading the nation in returns for scores and was SoCon Special Teams Player of the Week and JT has become the elder statesman of the team. He is the go to guy the definition of clutch. And, BTW, another Calhoun star with some Black and Orange in his blood too, Taylor Lamb, well he was third in passing yards last week, for the country! I could not be more proud of all their success and the fine young men they have become.
