Another NEW Year.... each year I wish for a better one, I declare that the next year will be better than the one we have left behind-- a feeling that the year was just plain crappy in more ways than one- How quickly I am to forget about or just fail to mention all the good things that happened in my family book of life- Yes, we had lots of fussing days with the kids and hubby, yes, I had to pay more bills this year due to a new home and more taxes due to a more successful photography business... yes so many of my friends and family ended up sick, hurt and/or heartbroken.. yes, my whole world changed when we lost Lexi so unexpectedly, so much family drama and the tugging of our loved ones from those that could care less for anyone but them self. Lots of lessons learned this year..some seemed to have taken longer than others, but if it was learned then the wait was worth it. What about the fact that I was able to enjoy a wonderful year with those that I care about so much... those that are blood kin and those that are not. Old acquaintances and new ones.... a more successful year with my photography business, touching so many lives with what I love to do. An awesome year of decorating my beautiful new home, entertaining so many friends and family in a nice cozy house that we have worked so hard for and fill it with fun things thanks to gifts from those that care about us. A year filled with watching my kids/grandbaby grow, change, improve, learn, prosper, cry, laugh, love and live. Making new friends, reuniting with old ones, rekindling family relationships and hoping to eventually mend bad relationships. What a year to have turned the big FOUR ZERO with some close friends and family as a surprise party... I can honestly say that there were lots of great times in 2014- even with the sour attitude that it was horrible and hoping for a better 2015-- there are no better years they are what we make of them.. they are as good as how we respond/react/act/appreciate and accept the things that come with each given year. Here is to another wonderful year and many more to come-- instead of trying to change others....work on either making changes in yourself or changes in the way you react/handle things that come your way! Happy New Year
