Another bit of Ciceros past is being torn down. The former Bergl Chevrolet dealership showroom on Cermak & 54th is being demolished. The building was vacant for several years. One of the workers mentioned they found a sealed up tunnel (but they did not try to break it open) and they found two hidden entrances to the building next door. FYI, the building next door to Bergl Chevrolet used to house Al Capones Cotton Club speakeasy. Bergl himself was mobbed up and used to armor-plate and bullet-proof cars for Prohibition-era gangsters including Machine Gun Jack McGurn.
