Another blast from the past! An Old Memory is an alternate ending to the original Revenge of the Brokenhearted. This scene wouldve been a third of the way into the video had it been finished, but we learned that sand is very difficult to film in, let alone act in. On top of all that, we tried filming in the summer, and that didnt help at all. Eventually, production grinded to a halt due to poor management and several no-shows, so with just myself and my camera lady, we went out and filmed this last scene to mark the end of production entirely on that project. What the video is about: As it starts out, youre seeing Brokenhearted approach an area that his rival fled to - as it shouldve been in the video. Then the effect of the lightsabers stops. The attempts to jar them back to life represent the real life attempts to finish the project, but alas, they never come back on. As the video continues, as the actor, I walk over to where the other actor is supposed to be at his mark, only to find hes not there. This represents the no-shows I mentioned. I walk back to my original mark, the camera girl clearly in view in my glasses which wouldve been edited out in the final version, then show my ultimate frustration with the turn out by tossing one of my lightsaber props out into the distance. The follow up to the thrown saber.... is all about hope. Look close, and youll see embers emitting from it, meaning this show isnt over. Just a new direction for Brokenhearted~
