Another busy weekend at WKU. Today is the first Friday before the first home football game! Tonight we host our President’s Circle, those alumni and friends who give a thousand dollars a year or more in annual gifts to WKU. We will have a street fest for our President’s Circle on the street in front of the Augenstein Alumni Center tonight at 5. Welcome back to campus, President’s Circle members! Tonight is also the opening performance for our WKU Symphony. Tonight, the symphony opens the 2013-14 season at 7:30 with a performance of classical jazz. Julie and I will be taking our 5-year-old grandson, Walker, to introduce him to the world of orchestral music! Tomorrow we open the home schedule for WKU football as the Toppers face Morgan State. It is Parent and Family Weekend. We roll out the red carpet across the WKU campus for these important members of the WKU family. It is also Focus on WKU and Fall Preview Day, which means we will have hundreds of prospective students here to enjoy game day at WKU. Welcome to parents, families and future Hilltoppers! Go Tops!
