Another coffee house adventure! Just held the door for a man coming into Starbucks as Im walking out. As he passes by me, he completely neglects to acknowledge or say thank you. So, heres what followed: Me: Sir, sir! Wait, wait! Hold on! Can you step back out for a sec, I need to check something! Man: What? (a foreign accent detected) Me: Please sir, I need you to step back out! The man steps out! I proceed to close the door. Me: I just wanted to make sure you enjoyed privilege of opening this door for yourself as clearly my gesture was not wanted or appreciated. Seeing as you didnt say thank you and completely ignored me. Im not your personal doorman The man, looking somewhat embarrassed: Oh, uh, thank you!? Me: ooh, hey, look at that, you CAN do it! I open the door: Youre welcome ☺ Lesson here! Dont ever do that around me! MAJOR pet peeve!! I WILL haul you back out and make you do it right!
