Another consequence of an incompetent government. Cattle farmers are to sue for compensation for loses due to the live cattle trade being stopped overnight by the Gillard government. While Gillard is gallivanting around the world spreading her lies and living it up on a pension undeservedly paid by us, we the taxpayers will be sued for losses that were a direct result of gross mismanagement by the her government. Dont get me wrong, I believe these farmers who had their livelihood destroyed overnight deserve reimbursement, my anger is directed at the previous management propped up by three stooges, Windsor, Oakeshott and Wilkie. They endorsed this incompetence which they could have rescued us from by doing the right thing and listening to their electorates. We are still paying for their self serving support of a government that should have never been formed. It wasnt only the live cattle export trade farmers that were affected but even those that cater for the local market. For overnight there was suddenly an abundance of cattle that had to be sold in the local market. Those that were originally destined for overseas were then sold locally, which subjected to the rules of supply and demand, meant that cattle cost per head dropped by hundreds. Everybody suffered as a result of a panicked knee jerk reaction to an ABC program, which we later found out was in part a set up by the reporter, where she paid the abattoir workers to perform.
