Another day another fire for Edinglassie RFB. Crews responded to a reports of a fire on McDonalds Lane shortly after 5pm yeterday. On scene the a grass / bushfire was located on mine land. With the assistance of a Mt Arthur 777F watercart and 24M grader Edinglassie 1 and Pumper, Kayuga 7, Mangoola 1 and 9, McCullys Gap 1, Jerrys Plains 1, Group West, Deputy Group South and FCO5 were able to contain the fire to 12 hectares before handing the scene back to mines personnel shortly after 9pm. Todays SEVERE fire danger and TOTAL FIRE BAN will see conditions harder again to contain any outbreaks. Please observe TOBAN rules and report any unattended fires immediately to 000.
