Another day of progress but there is also a new medical issue. Today Jordan was more alert, more interactive and more lucid than he has been since weve been here!! He did not remember us visiting prior to today!! He asked for food and water in twenty different ways:( He remains on O2 via trach and tube feedings. Soon though ! In the early morning hours his heart went into atrial fibrillation in addition to an increased heart rate. His physician states this is not uncommon after such a serious surgery but its also something to get under control and watch closely. It may take 24 hours more or less to see if the medications are effective . So we wait and pray his heart returns to a normal rhythm. If it does. He will be transferred to a LTAC unit soon. We however leave tomorrow. We will see him in the am before we leave . He is aware we are leaving. I hate to go, but he has come so far and he has some of the most exceptional medical professionals Ive ever met, so Im ok, sort of, to go. Lol Ill post tomorrow but I while I have a moment I wanted to let each of you know, we have been blown away by the support. I needed every prayer, good thought and positive energy sent our way. I am forever grateful!
