Another encounter with President Obama On Friday, October 10, I had another opportunity to attend an exclusive event with President Obama at The W Hotel, downtown San Francisco, upon the invitation of the Democratic National Committee (DNC). This time around there was no protest and I had a brief opportunity to meet him. But I used the occasion to hand a letter to a White House aide, who promised to deliver the letter. I believe we should be presistent in the effort to be heard and noticed with regard to some of the questionable U.S. policies towards African countries such as Ethiopia.
