ROCK ORIGINALS, SATURDAY OCTOBER THE 4TH @ THE BLUE LAGOON, HILSEA For those that have missed the content and point of it all, heres the original event description :- Once again, the Rock Originals evening features one old stager and three brilliant local bands who all are passionate about what they do ..so, Im absolutely delighted to put on another charity evening of original rock. This years charity is the Alzheimers Society alzheimers.org.uk Kicking off the evening we have the marvelous new kids on the block REACH OUT TILL DAWN ...having seen their first performance last week on Hayling, their fresh mix of original nu/alternative metal and acoustic songs, laced with the beautiful tones from vocalist, Laura Forbes, will certainly get your immediate attention! facebook/ReachOutTillDawn Next up, is the force of nature known as LIP SERVICE with a set that slams the 80s sleaze rock heart roaring back in to life!! Armed to the teeth, deep down and dirty, the Lip Service crew take to the stage with the prime cuts from their critically acclaimed EP Six of the Best and CDs Come and Get It and Never Been Done Before With a growing fan base and a slew of raging gigs near and far, Lip Service will leave you gasping for breath and roaring for more! lipservicerocks/ facebook/lipservicerocks Following the Lip Service onslaught, is my good self with the excellent Fay Wray and Young Blades collective once again. Another top selection of songs from the MT-S vault with a couple of dusty rock surprises in store to hopefully keep you entertained whilst we take you up to the main event.....low key description? ...well, believe me or dont, the evenings not about me..never has been! :) ...and what a main event...our headliners and very lucky to have them too... the.local guys on the way to the top, KODIAK JACK!! With the deafening plaudits from the best of the rock magazines ringing in their ears for their new album ALHAMBRA and fresh from their recent Islington O2 support slot with US rock legends, TESLA followed by their own headlining gig at Southseas Wedgewood Rooms, the Kodiak Jack powerhouse are going from strength to strength. The bands 2nd album, recorded in Teslas Brian Wheats Sacramento studio, has taken the band to a new level and with the blistering live performances being driven by new drummer, Kieran Bellinger, heads all across the rock industry are definitely turning their way!!
