Another family funny staring Jake Force.... Jake spent the weekend with my brother, his fun Uncle George, while his parents went in opposite directions for work and a bike race. Jake noticed some water had gotten into his cell phone, so my brother suggested he put it in rice to dry it out. A short time later, my brother finds the cell phone buried in a container of brown rice that Jake got out of an instant rice pouch in the cabinet. #FAIL Apparently much laughter ensued when George realized he hadnt been specific enough. Not ANY rice. Plain uncooked WHITE rice will dry out the phone.... To hear George tell the story, Hes got the phone soaking in brown rice with soy sauce. LMAO! Fast forward to last night and Jake, who is still not feeling well, tells me he didnt do his weekend homework because he had a feeling hed be staying home today. Good thing his feeling was correct and he is home today. Then he says, Damn, I never shouldve told you I hadnt done my homework. Youll be all over me tomorrow. Yep, I said, like white on rice. Oh the laughter! The best part is he didnt want to laugh at my funny one-liner because that encourages me, but he couldnt help himself. We were cracking up. Ahhh, love my little boy who will be 16 on Saturday. Sniff.
