Another frame project. This time to match the Arts and Crafts style of our house. The Arts and Crafts or Craftsman movement was a in a sense a rebelliousness to the Industrial Revolution and the ornateness of the Victorian period. Simple shapes and hand craftsmanship were now important with the focus often on the substrates themselves which were more natural and carried the beauty. I built this frame to be exceptionally simple and dramatically oversized to frame off the traditional craftsman styled dragonfly tile.
