Another full on day today, Ive been up to Ocean Keys, down to Cockburn & twice to Murdoch to shoot the 3 newest stores for Coffee Club. I met some terrific people, with only 1 exception the teams & customers at all 3 stores were amazing, hospitable & helpfully cooperative, the 1 exception being a quite rude & grumpy woman customer at the St John of God Murdoch store, who approached me belligerently saying dont you dare point that thing at me , which I of course respected & made sure that her face wasnt featured in any of my shots. But of course she had to push her luck on leaving & have a go at me for shooting in a coffee shop without her permission & look theres a child, I hope you havent taken any pictures of her. I hadnt as a matter of fact, they had just walked in, but it also wasnt any of her business & I politely pointed out that I was working for Coffee Club & didnt tell her how to do her job & would appreciate her not telling me how to do mine...she at that point said that I wouldnt want to try as she was in risk management & off she stormed... Its amazing how a little knowledge can colour someones viewpoint. The rest of the customers had been fun, I was without a fault polite & respectful, but playful, as is required in a situation like this, & if someone said they didnt want to be in the shots I respected that & made sure to avoid them, but the fact that she knew a little about something gave her a right to butt in where she was certainly not wanted. Perhaps she was just having a bad day & was looking for a target to vent on & I was the lucky boy...whatever her excuse she was rude & her behaviour was uncalled for & it just made her look very small.
