Sometimes people who think they’re helping others with their problems, are really only helping to make them worse. Harsh, sarcastic, ridiculing, or judgmental advice is not a method of support. We all need to develop self discipline and to learn to grow from our mistakes but there is a way to correct someone without condemning them. When criticism is constructive it’s considered correction; and correction can be administered with compassion, to educate, inspire and motivate a person to become better. Correction is like medicine to life and can remedy problems and prevent future tragedies. Being stern yet polite is the sugar that helps the medicine of correction go down. Most critics have no first hand experience or expertise of the things in which they criticize. ...
