Another great (code for hard work and lots of hills) morning of cycling with a stop at what is becoming a bit of a favourite haunt. Just as well that Loch Leven Larder seem to be introducing a new flavour of scone with each visit. This time a chocolate chip scone. I know, this is stretching it a bit when I am supposed to be reviewing fruit scones but chocolate comes from some kind of bean that grows on a tree just like fruit does. Usual big size and despite outcry from my colleagues I did indeed put jam on it. Overall - a little drier than their fruit scone and less sweet than their banoffee (which is a good thing). A respectable but far from perfect 4/5.
