Another great mornings football for the U7s with 3 out of 4 wins. The opponents this morning were Spurley Hey who have come on leaps and bounds since we first played them last August. Mikes West team won a close fought league game and came out 4-3 winners with goals from Taylor (2), Finn and Ralston. The 2nd game wasnt quite as close as West came out 5-0 winners. Taylor (2), Lewis, Finn and Ralston again with the goals. The passing between the players was excellent at times and show the boys are taking the things learnt at training into the matches. Taylor was deserved MoM not just for the goals but his all round contribution to the team. Marks East team played equally well if not better particularly in the first game when our guest referee (who was excellent I believe) commented on how well the boys passed the ball with some great one touch passes. Again the training coming to fruition. The first league game was won 4-2 with goals from Lee (2),Alex and Dean. The 2nd game was closer and Spurley came out narrow 2-1 winners. Lee again with Inters goal. Seems the 6 aside that the boys played in the 2nd game meant that there was a little less space, but well done to all. Tom The Cat Wheeler was MoM for East with some terrific performances. I think weve found a goalkeeping gem here!! Well done to everyone
