Another great protest in Ames, Iowa! We were able to hit the payday Friday night crowd as they drove home from work! As usual, so many honks and waves from the community! If only the store owner would realize that his business would be booming if they would cut ties with the puppy mills and sell pet supplies instead! They wouldnt even have to offer adoptable animals (although that would be preferred! Come on, Dyvigs Pet Shoppe- the world is watching! Go humane! Tonight we protested in honor of Pearl. Pearl was rescued by National Mill Dog Rescue last summer after the breeder released many chihuahuas under a bridge. All but three froze or got hit by cars. She was in such bad shape that they almost had to euthanize her. Pearl is about 13 years old and was discarded after giving them dozens of litters of puppies to sell. Today she spends her days sitting at Kims desk at the Best Friends Animal Clinic educating people about puppy mills. Her new family loves her more than words
